Getting ready

For your peace of mind we do offer packing service. However if you'd like to pack your items yourself, we can supply you with removal boxes.


Make sure

Tell us if there are any big items that can't get through the door. For bulky furniture we offer dismantling service for an extra fee. If you decide to take it apart yourself, please keep all screws and bolts in a bag attached to an item.

On the day

On the day of your move, make access to the property (ask your neighbors to move their car etc.),  unless there is access to your property and our team will do the rest.

  • What are your business hours?

    Our business hours:


    8am - 8pm Monday to Friday

    8am - 6pm Saturday


    We dont have set time when we finish work; instead we finish when all your boxes, bags and furniture are moved into your new home.


  • Do you travel long distances?

    We travel all over the UK. 

    GLR Removals will move your belongings to the south as far as Land's End, or up north to Inverness!

  • How do I pay?

    We accept bank transfers, cheques or cash. 

    PLEASE NOTE:

    We do not take payments before the service is completed. Payment to be made once the service is completed and you are satisfied.

  • What is your availability?

    We do have good availability.

  • What do I need to do on my moving day?

    • Make access to your property (ask your neighbours to move their car etc)
    • Make sure everything is packed and ready to be moved, unless you chose our Premium package where we do all the packing!
    • Remember to take your meter readings

  • Do you charge key wait?

    Unless you purchased our Premium package, a £40 key wait charge will be added if you have not received your key by 3 p.m.

  • Do you offer dismantling and re-assemble service?

    Your beds and tables will be completely disassembled at no cost to you. We disconnect and connect back your washing machine.

    For furniture that requires more work, like wardrobes, we do charge extra.



  • What to do after I moved to new property?

    • Make sure your water, gas, and electricity providers are aware that you are moving.
